Excellence & Enjoyment, Everyone & Everything

World Book Day

A huge thanks to everyone for joining in with this year's World Book Day event, as we welcomed back World Book Day celebrations to Red Hill. From dragons to princesses, Potters to Paddingtons, the children (and staff) looked wonderful. Many people (children, staff and parents!) were confused by who was Gangsta Granny on the school gates! Have a look through our gallery (below) and through our World Book Day video.

The children had an extra special time for the 25th year of the celebration of World Book Day. All children could come to school dressed as their favourite book or story character as well as taking part and sharing lots of stories throughout the school.

Children from different year groups got together to share stories and talk about their favourite books, authors and love of reading. They also took part in many book-themed activities throughout the day including writing short stories, creating story boxes, artwork inspired by their favourite books and much more.

Reading is vitally important to all of us at Red Hill and we celebrate that every single day. The children loved getting an opportunity to especially showcase this in such a creative way today. Well done all!
