Headteacher vacancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become the Headteacher of Red Hill C of E primary school in Worcester. The Governing Body, staff and children are seeking to appoint a distinctive Headteacher for our distinctive school. We need a collaborative leader who is a natural communicator, they will require a hands-on approach and a willingness to engage warmly and wholeheartedly with the whole life of the school. A proactive commitment to equality, inclusion and well-being is essential. All staff share this commitment and it is reflected in how our school operates.
Main purpose
The headteacher will:
Develop and sustain the school’s ethos and strategic direction together with the governing board and Senior Leadership Team
Establish and oversee systems, processes and policies so the school can operate effectively
Identify problems and barriers to school effectiveness, and with the Senior Leadership Team, develop strategies for school development that are realistic, timely and suited to the school’s context
Work collaboratively with senior leaders to make sure these school development strategies are effectively implemented
Monitor progress regularly, utilising an embedded structure of middle and senior leader responsibilities, making full use of data to drive improvement
Allocate financial resources appropriately, efficiently and effectively
Qualities
The Headteacher will:
Uphold public trust in school leadership and maintain high standards of ethics, behaviour and professional conduct
Uphold the Christian values of the school, working with both the Diocese and Parish
Build positive and respectful relationships across the school community
Serve in the best interests of the school’s pupils
Work collaboratively
Be motivated by value-based beliefs, including equality, access and inclusion, that are demonstrated through all interactions, decisions and actions
