Heating Issue

Dear parents / carers,

Any visitors coming in to school today may have noticed that we are a little colder than usual!

At the moment, there is an issue with linking the heating system in the current school with that of the new extension, which has resulted in lower than normal classroom temperatures. Without our intervention yesterday, the temperature in some areas of the building would have been too low to have opened the school today.

In order to keep the school open, we have invested in portable heaters to ensure that the classrooms are warm enough for the children to learn and stay in school. We have also allowed the children to wear their coats in class today and will do so for the rest of the week if necessary. Uniform expectations will be relaxed for the remainder of this week as we strive to stay open.

Contractors are currently working on the heating system, and we hope to offer you a warmer welcome on Wednesday and Thursday’s parent evenings.

Thank you for your support and understanding in this matter.

Yours sincerely

Spencer Morris
