As per Government instruction, Red Hill CE Primary School is closed. We will provide relevant updates as required on our "tickertape" below, Latest News section, the weekly newsletter and via text messages. For those parents and carers using our emergency provision, please consider this as an option of last resort; if you have other safe options for your child, then please use them.
19th March 2020
Dear Parents and Carers,
Once again, I‘d like to thank you for the support that we have been shown during this challenging time. As I write, there have been no guideline changes regarding isolation from the government from Tuesday, (below).
Please do not send your child to school if they, OR SOMEONE LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD, have a temperature of 37.8°C or higher, or a NEW continuous cough. Please keep them home for 14 days. Please do not mask your child’s temperature by administering medicine such as Calpol/Nurofen etc prior to the start of the day. If a child is sent home, they will not be able to return for 14 days. We will be strict with our staff too in order to protect you and your children. This also protects the vulnerable members of our school community.
Further to yesterday’s letter, I also wanted to bring the following to your attention.
Alongside all schools in England, Red Hill will close our doors at 3:25pm tomorrow. As mentioned in yesterday’s letter, we will be providing children with work that they can access from home. This will be made available from the “Class Pages” section of the school website. Teachers will be uploading this each week. Please let us know if you have any difficulty accessing the internet, so that we can put other measures in place.
Today, all families were sent a text regarding “key workers”. Many thanks to the parents who have responded. We will be in touch with those families by 12pm tomorrow to discuss arrangements for next Monday. RAP Club will not be available from next Monday, 23rd March.
As always, the safety and care of the children and staff at Red Hill is of paramount importance. These are challenging and uncertain times, and we will continue to support the school community as best as possible during this period of uncertainty.
